EXT. LONDON- DAY
AERIAL VIEW: Modern-day London buildings, Big Ben,
etc.
INT. WESTMINSTER
ABBEY- DAY
CLOSE on a pewter
crucifix necklace lying on light skin.
The camera pans up
to reveal the face of a blonde, seemingly peaceful 22-year-old girl, BUFFY
SUMMERS. She’s looking ahead, at the
camera.
Her surroundings are
blurred, but we hear choir music, organs, and bells.
The camera pans to
the right, where we see the face of a 16-year-old girl, DAWN SUMMERS.
The camera pulls
back to show all the people in the pews of the abbey.
A strong, resounding
last note is sung.
EXT. WESTMINSTER
ABBEY- DAY
Buffy and Dawn stand
outside the famous abbey as a crowd of people piles out.
DAWN
Nothing
like a little church music. Very
uplifting.
BUFFY
And
the only place there hasn’t been any vamps.
You get some extra help, take some time off, and the work comes with
you. I feel like some vacationing
businessman who talks on his cell phone the whole time.
DAWN
Well,
it’s daytime now. And the perfect time
to shop!
Buffy rolls her eyes
and smiles at her little sister.
INT.
VIRGIN RECORDS- DAY
Buffy is walking
around the crowds of people idly, shuffling through CD’s. She stops cold, staring at a CD we can’t
see.
CLOSE on her
face. She smiles a little.
CLOSE on a Sex
Pistols CD in Buffy’s hand.
Flashes of memories
of Spike: smoking, smiling, drinking, his hands, his eyes, Buffy lying in his
arms, and finally, their entwined hands on fire.
CUT TO: Dawn holding up a rap CD.
DAWN
Hey,
Buffy. Can I get this Kelis CD? It’s about milkshakes.
Buffy’s slight smile
is gone. She is sad and nostalgic.
BUFFY
Um, sure.
